The new homepage has a simple focus: we want to make navigating the website quick and easy.
The cards and results grid is live and updates throughout the day. Click on a race time and you’ll be directed to the racecard, or the result if the race has been run and the full result is available. Alternatively, click on the racecourse name to view all races for that meeting on one page.
When the last race of the day has been run, the grid will automatically switch to tomorrow’s cards, improving your experience when you land on the homepage the night before to study the next day’s racing.
We also now display the grid as we think you’ll want to use it, with the key meetings of the day given prominence.
News on the homepage has also been enhanced. Each day we’ll bring you a selected edit of key stories, tipping pieces and features from the world of horseracing, bloodstock and sport - as well as breaking news throughout the day.
What we have moved
The Next Race Off button is now at the top of the homepage above the cards grid.
We have added a ‘More’ dropdown, which houses any sections that you can no longer find in the main menu.
Next three races off is now part of the new matrix. We feel this delivers it in a better way, but if you disagree and preferred it as a set of specific links, let us know.
A link dedicated to the going and non-runners page was previously available on the homepage but this information has now been added to our racecards, which update automatically. It is also available via our Raceday Live service, which can be found in News and Tipping (also on the home page if you’re viewing the site on laptop/desktop) as well as the Live Tab in cards.
Direct links to 4 - and 5 - day cards have moved. Simply click on cards and you can view declarations and entries for the upcoming week as well as Big Race Entries.
What we have removed
We have removed the Media Centre but all of our videos and podcasts can still be found within our News section, embedded within related stories, previews and features.
Race in Focus panel has also been removed. We believe the new and improved cards grid replaces this content. This panel also included the number of tips associated to each horse, we’ve now added this information to our racecards.
The Seasonal Stats panel has also been retired. However, you can find all the same information in the Statistics section of the site, accessible via the main menu.
Who’s Hot, Quotes, Tips and Stats that featured in the Horse Racing Tips panel have all been incorporated into Raceday Live and the Live tab on Cards.
News Live has been removed and replaced by our new comprehensive News service, which includes all the content you get in the daily newspaper.
What's the same
Sign In/Sign Up is always available in the top-right corner of the site, regardless of which device you’re using.
The Racing Post Bet Slip will also remain here and can be accessed from all pages.
